With the naviBelt you can feel paths and directions

With a vibration signal that is constantly aligned to north it’s easy to walk reliably in a straight line, e.g. while crossing a street or a large square.

The perceptible feedback helps with walking curves precisely. After bypassing obstacles or other distractions you can easily realign.

The naviBelt increases safety in traffic, as no acoustic navigation device is to be used and the ears remain free. Hands and eyes also remain free during navigation and orientation. Users can concentrate on traffic and other sounds, as the device is not distracting.

The device is easy to use and reduces barriers even for technically inexperienced or elder users.
You’ll be more independent on the help of others and thus more self-sufficient. This will guarantee long-term mobility and quality of life.

Orientation in everyday life

The naviBelt has 16 equally distributed vibration units, so that, for example, the north as your anchor point, can be felt 360° around your body. Even slight turns can be detected immediately, as the vibration signal then moves accordingly around your stomach. You can also better estimate curves and changes in direction with the naviBelt and avoid unintentional turns. In the city you can move more safely and cross streets and squares in a straight line. If you have to avoid an obstacle, you can orientate yourself immediately again along the road and continue walking straight ahead.

With our naviBelt we would like to help you to become more independent and participate in social life, therefore we have paid attention to an easy handling. This means that the naviBelt can also be operated by people with little previous experience of technical equipment. The naviBelt helps you to do more, to have more confidence and to take your own path again.

For Mobility Trainers

You are a mobility trainer and teach orientation for visually impaired people? The naviBelt is well suited for teaching room orientation quickly and easily in class. In cooperation with mobility trainers and blind institutions in Germany, we have developed teaching materials such as a special app and a training plan for teaching the visually impaired.

Here you will find a list of mobility trainers, who have already been certified by feelSpace to train blind people in the optimal use of the naviBelt. If your clients would like to submit applications to health insurance companies and receive support for the purchase of a naviBelt, please contact us. We are there to help you.

Relaxed on your way

With the specially developed barrier-free iPhone app, you simply tell the naviBelt a destination – even through voice input. The naviBelt then shows you the exact direction via a vibration signal on your stomach. Your ears remain free so that your attention is spared. This allows you to concentrate on other sounds. Go your own way independently!

We are currently preparing a connection to other apps (e.g. BlindSquare) so that you can also use the naviBelt to access established apps for orientation and, for example, follow a precise route to your destination. Without a smartphone, the belt functions as a tactile compass and lets you feel where North is.
